We’re looking for a Test Engineer to join the Avular Team! 

At Avular, we are looking for a Test Engineer who loves to be in the middle of robotics development. You are a technical and quality-driven professional who ensures that everything we develop comes together into mature products. You will work with the System Architects and Project Manager to ensure a flawless transition from requirements and design to a well-defined test plan and integration of the different subsystems.

🚀 YOUR MISSION

You are able to spread the importance of system integration and testing. Therefore, you will work with different disciplines in the company, from manufacturing to project managers, and ensure that the development team is aligned on the integration and test process. As a Test Engineer, you will be both hands-on and focused on defining system-level testing strategies and ways of working.

As part of the team, you will be contributing mainly to:

  • Defining the high-level testing strategy and integration plan

  • Creating clear test plans and dedicated test cases

  • Clarifying requirements for the tests with the engineers

  • Executing and overseeing tests and their planning

  • Being thorough and detail-oriented in test execution and reporting

  • Making well-balanced release decisions

⚡ WHO YOU ARE

You have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Systems Engineering.

  • At least 4 years of relevant professional integration and testing experience with multidisciplinary products.

  • Affinity with mobile robots and autonomous systems.

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

  • An EU-issued driver’s license

  • Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.

As a testing professional, you have experience with industry-standard methods such as:

  • Risk assessments (FMEA/ TRA)

  • Various testing methods (Environmental/ HALT/ user validation/ Integration/ Regression testing)

  • Analysing and quantifying test results

  • Root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa)

And as a hands-on technical engineer, you can work with, and create or modify test tooling through:

  • Basic scripting/ Linux experience (Bash, Python, MATLAB)

  • Measurement tooling (sensor) selection, basic data acquisition and processing

  • Mechanical CAD design and rapid prototyping experience for testing jigs

  • More advanced test automation frameworks and software development (Git) would be nice to have.

It would also be a nice bonus if you

  • Worked or played with drones (flying drones), or RC cars.

  • Worked with ISO standards and other standardised procedures.

  • Experience with EMC testing and software testing.

  • Experience with CE and FCC certification
