As a Technician at Avular, you make our beautiful products. You will assemble our Vertex, Origin, and other products to the right quality and within the agreed timeline. It is a hands-on job where you will be part of and work together with the operations team, under the supervision of our Operations Lead.
At Avular, we are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic software engineer to strengthen our current team. Here you will work on developing and productizing software components for our modular robotics platforms. In this role, you will ensure our control and algorithmic engineers can use our products with ROS to build more advanced features. You will serve as the bridge between our hardware and higher-level software and control engineers.
As a Quality Engineer at Avular, you play a key role in ensuring that our products, processes, and operations consistently meet high standards for quality and reliability. You will work closely with both operations and development teams. You will ensure quality is designed into our products and processes from early development onward, while continuously improving it throughout the product lifecycle.
Design and develop lightweight mechanical systems that deliver the required functionality, robustness, cost, and performance. Apply sound construction principles, strength calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, mechanical system dynamics, FEM simulation, and knowledge of material properties to substantiate design decisions.
You'll develop algorithms for control, state estimation, and trajectory planning that power our flying robots. Beyond your own work, you bring a deep understanding of how flying robots behave. This helps the wider team catch issues before they arise and strengthens the quality of decisions made throughout the development process. Your work will directly improve the robustness, performance, and autonomy of our flying robots.
You’ll bring computer vision expertise to our team, initially focusing on helping our driving and flying robots localise reliably in the real world. Your work will provide a foundation for autonomous navigation, with opportunities to contribute to broader perception capabilities, such as object tracking and scene understanding, as our products evolve.
