We are proud to announce that Avular has been awarded the CIO Magazine Innovation Award 2025 in the category Most Innovative Start-up / Scale-up / Challenger! This prestigious award celebrates organizations that drive impactful innovation and shape the future of technology.

The CIO Magazine Innovation Award is an initiative by CIO Magazine — a platform for digital leaders in the Netherlands and Belgium — designed to highlight groundbreaking digital initiatives and forward-thinking companies. Each year, the award recognizes businesses and leaders who not only embrace innovation, but actively shape the future through scalable, sustainable, and transformative solutions.

In the Most Innovative Start-up / Scale-up / Challenger category, the focus was on companies capable of challenging the status quo, offering fresh perspectives, and developing technologies that can solve both business and societal challenges. Our own Yuri Steinbuch represented Avular throughout the entire award process: from submitting our innovation case to pitching in front of an expert jury, and finally presenting our story to a live audience during the final round at the CIO Innovation Summit & Dinnershow.

With CuspAI as a particularly strong competitor, the outcome remained uncertain until the very last moment. During an inspiring award dinner at the Orangerie in Den Bosch, the winner was finally revealed — and we are incredibly proud to say: Avular brought the award home!

Winning this award is more than just recognition for our work; it’s also a strong signal that more and more people recognize the increasing importance of building a strong and independent European robotics industry. In today’s fast-evolving and geopolitically complex world, this need is greater than ever. At Avular, we are committed to continuing our mission: putting robotics on the map and raising awareness about the vital role autonomous solutions can play in solving key societal challenges — from labor shortages to sustainability.
